The Shortest Distance Between Two Points is an Escape is a graphic narrative written by Gabriel Nascimento and illustrated by João Henrique Belo. I had the honor of editing this book alongside Eduardo Damasceno, collaborating with Gabriel’s powerful writing and João’s distinctive strokes. The story unfolds across three timelines, each offering a different perspective and inviting readers to reflect on multiple truths. Recognized as a finalist for the Jabuti Prize 2022, the work stands as both an artistic experiment and a narrative exploration of distance and escape.
