That’s What We Have for Today" (2021) is a collaborative literary publication distributed in Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, and Portugal. As the designer and illustrator, my focus was to create a visual dialogue between Luis Oliveira’s poems and my illustrations. I developed the layout by exploring the negative space provided by the text, allowing the brushstrokes to respond to the form and rhythm of the poetry. The cover reflects this connection, symbolizing the transition from text to stroke. Created during the pandemic, this project was an exploration of human connection and our shared experiences during that period.
