Created from analog film photographs, Contaminated Analog explores how memory and matter can be altered by intervention. After the film was developed, the images were painted over with ink, contaminating the records with new layers of gesture and chance. Once scanned, these altered prints became hybrids — at once analog, manual, and digital — reflecting on the fragility of images and the permanence of marks.
